If you are trying to register and you are reading this document, you are in the correct place. After you have registered, you may place bids any time while the auction is running until auction close. Keep in mind, if an item gets bid on during the last 2 minute count-down of the item closing, the bidding will extend an additional 2 minutes. We do this to prohibit electronic bid “sniping”, to accommodate for loss in cell service or momentary loss of wifi, and to simulate the process of a live auction. At a live auction, the bidding on an item continues as long as there are still bids being placed. Remember, auction items are as shown in the pictures. Unless noted, prepare to remove items from the environment from which they are photographed.   Section B.1 “Max Bid” feature explained If you cannot participate in the close of the auction or if you plan to have a set bidding limit for any particular item, you can click the orange drop down carrot on the side of the large orange button that reads “Bid $xxx”. Your Max Bid will not exceed the number you have placed, and you will be notified of being outbid either by email or push notification. Your Max Bids are confidential, and other bidders cannot see if you have placed a max bid on any item. You may change your Max Bid with the same method and by following the prompts.   Section C. The words, "TESTED" on refrigeration indicates that the temperature was taken by a team member of Adams Auctions LLC or one of our trusted colleagues after the item was connected to power for a period of time. “TESTED” on electrical or gas powered items can also indicate that a team member of Adams Auctions LLC connected the item to its power source and it powered on as it initially should to verify potential workability. We do not perform elaborate tests on items to verify their capability, and many times we use observation to assess condition or workability. If you have any question about a particular item that is marked as "TESTED" in the auction listing, please do not hesitate too contact us as we are often able to give origins of the item and past usage that might further indicate condition of the item.  Adams Auctions LLC is not held responsible for errors in description or inaccuracy of photos that may result in differences in opinion of condition or value of any item in the auction. If you have specific questions about any item please call our office at 860 372 1172 or email the lead auctioneer at sara@bidadams.com prior to bidding. It is the sole responsibility of the buyer to inspect the items and/or inquire about any items they are interested in bidding on. This includes theft, damages to real property, and damages to tangible property.” “By registering and actively participating in this auction, I am acknowledging the potential for damage to occur to the real property in which my personal property resides. I will do everything in my power to mitigate damage to the auction location upon removal of my items. If I cause damages to the property, both knowingly and unknowingly, I agree to pay for the repair of damaged location.” You will never be charged for damages to real property without an investigation authorized and conducted by Adams Auctions LLC and / or without notice on removal day after the damage has occurred and been inspected by an Adams Auctions LLC team member. Payment Types Accepted Currency accepted: USD Payment types accepted: Credit Card, Cash (comes with Buyer’s Premium discount), Bank Certified Check (comes with Buyer’s Premium discount), Zelle (comes with Buyer's Premium discount) or PayPal. Please note that personal and business checks are never accepted. We only accept checks that are bank certified funds written from your bank. You can make bank certified checks payable to Adams Auctions LLC, and check will need to be brought to the auction site upon your item removal.   Section H.1. Payment Terms Buyer Premium costs (See section H.1 for definition and explanation): There is a 20% Buyer’s Premium on winning bid price for payments made with credit card, debit card, and PayPal. There is a 15% Buyer’s Premium on winning bid price for payments made with cash, Zelle, and bank certified check. Sales tax is also remitted for every state where the auction removal takes place. Current sales tax rates in the states we do business are: Massachusetts 6.25%, Connecticut 6.35%, Rhode Island 7%, New Hampshire 0%, Vermont 6%, New York 4% with additional percentages per region. All of these fees and taxes are visible and itemized in your invoice following the auction.   Section I What is a Buyer’s Premium? A buyer’s premium is an additional charge, usually a straight percentage, that a buyer is charged based on the hammer price (ending sold price). This becomes the actual price that the buyer is charged for the item when checking out. For example, if Bob is the winning bidder on a table and chair set that he bid $100 on, and the buyer’s premium is 15% for cash payment in that particular auction, Bob will actually pay $115 for the item plus any applicable sales tax if he wants to pay cash. Remember, the buyer’s premium is an additional charge, not an additional tax. U.S. taxing authorities call the buyer’s premium part of an item’s sale price. The total amount becomes taxable.   Section J. How does the payment process work? While you did register a credit or debit card to participate in the auction, we do not automatically charge this card with your invoice at the conclusion of the auction. There is an initial $100 verification check processed on your card that is automatically returned within moments of the transaction. The purpose of this verification is to detect stolen or flagged credit cards to protect your security. An option will be given following the close of the auction at time of removal to pay in cash, bank check, or Zelle. Paying in cash with exact change at the removal auction site will result in a 15% buyer's premium. One of our team members will call or text you the day following the close of the auction to verify your preferred payment method. Please verify that your phone number provided in your account is correct so we may reach you. Please note that the credit card you registered with for this auction is your default payment method. If you do not respond to or notify the Adams Team when asked about this preferred payment method, we will satisfy your invoice with your default payment method. If you choose to pay with a credit card, your invoice will likely be processed in advance upon completion of the auction in preparation for removal day. Cash processing will take place at the auction removal site. Following the conclusion of the removal date and specified removal time, all unpaid invoices will be charged to the credit card on file. All merchandise must be paid in full prior to leaving the auction site. Please be aware there is a 15% buyers premium for cash, Zelle, and bank check, 20% buyers premium for credit, debit, and Paypal, and state sales tax that is added to your bill. Emailed invoices will be sent out to winning bidders after the auction has been reconciled and prior to removal day. If you do not remove your item on the assigned removal dates, your credit card on file will be charged for your invoice total. If you do not remove your items and your credit card on file declines the transaction, appropriate actions will be taken. See Section D., Legal Action of this contract. If you do not pay your invoice in accordance with the Terms and Conditions of Auction Participation that you are agreeing to here, you authorize us to charge your credit card, and we will charge your credit card.   Section K. There are several ways to reach us, but some are answered more quickly during a time sensitive auction related emergency. Many of our customer service related calls are monitored and recorded for quality assurance, and we will notify you verbally if the call is being recorded.   Lead Auctioneer and Owner: Sara Adams Benicak sara@bidadams.com - Office: 860 372 1172 - FB Messenger @ www.facebook.com/AuctionsByAdams - www.bidadams.com/contact -
