The rug was woven in the USA of 100% premium imported worsted wool pile in the Carter's Grove 554 pattern, reproducing an original design from Carter's Grove Mansion in the collection of the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. The rug displays an all-over floral motif on a navy blue field with rust-red borders, while the loveseat has rolled arms, welted cushions, and a kick-pleat skirt.
