(6) Neils Moller Chairs No. 75 side chairs and (2) No. 56 armchairs, paper corded. Chair have wear that is normal reflecting age, and appear to be in excellent condition. Chairs measure: 30" height x 16.5" wide x 18" deep. Seat height is 18". Information on designer Neils Moller: Born in Århus in 1920, the work of Danish designer Niels Otto Møller earned a reputation for consistent excellence in quality and workmanship. Møller's dedication to his craft stemmed from his cabinetmaking apprenticeship, completed in 1939, which was followed by further study at the Århus School of Design. The above beautiful set was designed in 1951 which was Møller's second model ever. Simple yet elegant, this set still retains the original braided paper cord seats which are intact, and are all marked with Møller's "Made in Denmark" stickers on underside of seat. The joinery is an excellent example of Møller's sculptural and revered designs. This set would be an incredible addition to any midcentury or contemporary setting. Color and condition consistent with age.
